OUR MISSION IS TO GIVE LOVE, EDUCATION, AND ADVOCATE
FSO’s mission is to address and positively impact the lives of those who are marginalized and disenfranchised; by bringing hope, supporting individuals and families, encouraging health and wellness, promoting education and a good quality of life to strengthen families and communities locally and globally.
Our History
On a brilliant summer day in the year 2006, a few hand and hearts joined together at Haverhill Park on Belvedere road in West Palm Beach, Florida. The initial group of six was led by Mrs. Latchmin Jaramillo. Their mission was to address and positively impact the lives of the young and the aged who were deemed stricken with poverty, disenfranchisement, and miseducated in the local community in Palm Beach County and in their beloved homeland, Jamaica.
Having identified Education as “the key to the doors of prosperity”, the team fervently embarked upon their calling, with their first Charity Dinner affair at the home of the appointed President, Mrs. Jaramillo. This event successfully generated a significant increase in interested and more active participants.
The aim of FREE SPIRIT OUTREACH, INC., is to promote education and help in the reduction of poverty in our society. The children are our future, and we are confident that the children of Jamaica and the U.S.A will continue to impact the world as positively as our Olympians have. We firmly believe that it is our duty as citizens of this country and the world at large to provide them with the necessary tools and opportunities to be their greatest self, and we intend to do so one child at a time.
